Submissions are coming in fast for Belfast 2026 and so are your questions about submissions.
Here are answers to the most common questions:
Where do I go to submit?
For panel submission: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/events/75765/symposia/create
For paper submission: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79266/submissions/new?
How many papers can I submit?
We put a constraint of max one presentation per person.
This does not prevent you from being a coauthor on papers that others are presenting,
or limit your roles as a discussant or chair.
Do I have to be a professor or a PhD student?
You do not have to be a professor or a PhD student.
We welcome applicants from students, practitioners, and others.
What matters is the quality of the work, not your status.
What kinds of panels can I put together?
You can be creative: consider author-meets-critics panels, topical panels, lightning rounds…
Suggest an agenda-setting panel.

How do I submit a panel and associate papers with a panel?
- Create a panel here.
- When you get through the first screen, you will be invited to add emails of panel participants. Be sure to use the email that they will use when they submit to Oxford Abstracts.
- Panelists you invited will then receive an invitation by email to submit their individual papers.
- When your panelists follow the link sent to them, or otherwise submit a paper, they will have the opportunity to “attach” the paper to the panel. The option to attach a paper to a panel comes after they have submitted paper details.
Do I have to submit as part of a panel?
No! You can submit a standalone paper and if accepted we will place it into a panel.
Will the deadline be extended a week, like other conferences?
No!
