EPSS is pleased to provide a small number of travel grants to qualified applicants to attend the EPSS Conference in Belfast in June 2026.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

• PhD students, or
• Scholars who received their PhD within the past 5 years,

and currently affiliated with an institution in one of the following countries: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Türkiye, or Ukraine.

What the grant includes

• Full conference registration fee waiver
•  Stipend for £500 to help with airfare and hotel costs

Selection criteria

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Fit with EPSS conference themes and scholarly merit
• Career stage and the impact of support on enabling participation
• Commitment to geographic and academic diversity
